Our Client in Edison, NJ , is seeking B2B Strategic or Emerging Sales Account Managers for direct-hire roles.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-5:30 pmPay Rate: $70-80K DOE Responsibilities
We are seeking sales-driven Account Managers to manage and grow wholesale customer accounts and retail/local store customer accounts. This role carries revenue responsibility and focuses on driving both initial growth and repeat sales, expanding product penetration and adoption, strengthening long-term partnerships with high-volume accounts, and supporting day-to-day customer needs. Key Responsibilities | Strategic Accounts
- Own sales performance and revenue growth for assigned key and wholesale accounts
- Develop and execute account growth strategies, including pricing, volume programs, and product expansion
- Lead commercial discussions, contract renewals, and sales negotiations
- Actively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to increase account value
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and warehouse teams to deliver on sales commitments
Key Responsibilities | Emerging Accounts
- Own sales growth and customer retention for assigned retail and local store accounts
- Actively promote products, new items, and programs to increase order volume
- Manage customer orders, shipment coordination, and delivery follow-ups
- Identify upsell opportunities and convert service interactions into sales opportunities
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment
Qualifications
- Experience in business-to-business sales or account management - 2+ years for Emerging or 4+ years for Strategic
- Maintain accurate sales/customer activity, forecasts/sales tracking, and pipeline/follow-up tracking using CRM and ERP systems
- Proven ability to drive sales growth within key or wholesale accounts
- Experience in food service, retail, or wholesale environments preferred
Growth-oriented, organized, and relationship-driven - Strong negotiation, relationship management, and analytical skills
- Comfortable using ERP systems and CRM platforms
- Team-oriented with a proactive, sales-focused mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
- A bachelor’s or associate degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- English required; bilingual in Chinese, Vietnamese, or Spanish preferred
