The Opportunity

The Department of Counselor Education and School Psychology in the College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking applications for a 9-month non-tenure earning lecturer position in the Counselor Education Program anticipated to begin Fall 2027. This position is located on the Orlando campus and summer teaching may be available.

The selected candidate will contribute to the Counselor Education Programs mission by teaching a variety of graduate level courses advising students and supervising practicum and internship students. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual with strong teaching supervision and interpersonal skills.

The Counselor Education program has been ranked among top-level Counselor Education programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report since 2007. The Counselor Education program offers the following degrees: (a) masters degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.A.) Marriage Couple and Family Therapy (M.A.) and School Counseling (M.A. .); (b) Educational Specialist Degree in School Counseling (Ed.S.); and (c) a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in EducationCounselor Education and Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.A.); Marriage Couple and Family Therapy (M.A.); School Counseling (M.A. .); and Counselor Education and Supervision (Ph.D.) programs are accredited by CACREP. Job Responsibilities

• Teach a 4/4 course load during the Fall and Spring semesters.
• Teach graduate courses supervise practicum and/or internship activities andassistwith planning program activities.
• Adhere to current CACREP Professional Standards.
• Participate in service and leadership activities at the department university and professional organization level.
• Maintain availability for students through regular office hours and timely professional communication.
• Work with and support students and faculty in theCounselor Education Program.

Minimum Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Counselor Education or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Identifiablepotential for excellence in teaching service and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Earned a doctoral degree from a CACREP accredited program.
• Experience in graduate teaching and clinical supervision.
