Cook Position
CareCore at Lakeridge is seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our dietary team. This role plays a key part in providing quality meals and a positive dining experience for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary guidelines
- Ensure food is prepared, served, and stored safely
- Follow all sanitation and infection control standards
- Maintain proper food temperatures and complete required logs
- Assist with kitchen organization, cleaning, and inventory
- Work collaboratively with dietary team and nursing staff
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience required, healthcare or LTC preferred
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets (mechanical soft, purees, etc.) preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and food safety standards
- Reliable and team-oriented
Schedule
- Rotating weekends and holidays
