About the Position

Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - At least 2 years of experience - Experience with HFNC, BIPAP - Stable GTT management - Post-operative care for CABG, AVR, MVR - Experience in cardiovascular and vascular procedures - Knowledge of AAA repair, lobectomy, CEA - Experience with NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, pacers - Familiarity with sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, post DKA, respiratory failure, tracheostomy Description: Seeking experienced Registered Nurse for Step Down unit. Candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience. Expertise in HFNC and BIPAP is required. Candidate should be skilled in stable GTT management. Experience providing post-operative care for CABG, AVR, and MVR is essential. Knowledge in cardiovascular and vascular care is a must. Familiarity with procedures such as AAA repair and lobectomy is necessary. The candidate should have experience managing NSTEMI, STEMI, and ACS patients. Ability to manage patients with pacemakers and sepsis is required. Experience with gastrointestinal bleeding, respiratory failure, DKA recovery, and tracheostomy care is essential. The unit will consist of a 30-bed step-down environment and may require floating between critical care service lines.
