Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) position in Spokane, Washington. This role involves working within a short-term acute care facility, providing sterilization and processing services for surgical instruments and equipment. The position requires experience with sterile processing procedures and systems, supporting surgical and procedural units.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The shift is from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid Allied license (if applicable), 2 years of sterile processing experience, experience with patient ratio management, charting system experience with Epic, and at least 2 years of travel-specific experience. Certifications required include CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, or HSPA or CBSPD. Skills include aseptic technique, sterilization processes, scope processing, equipment documentation, and familiarity with surgical instruments and robotics.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in short-term acute care settings, trauma level II experience, and experience floating between units or facilities.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be prepared for orientation hours totaling 40. The position involves working with surgical equipment, robotics, sterilization equipment, and instrument tracking systems. Travel compliance documents are due by the Monday prior to the start date. Candidates should have previous experience working at a healthcare facility as a permanent employee, travel nurse, or registry/per-diem. References covering one year within the last three years are required. Flexibility to float between nearby sister facilities is expected; refusal may lead to termination.
