Job Summary:
A Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position is available in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care for patients during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including assisting with deliveries, cesarean sections, emergent discharges, and postpartum procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification, Washington state license (in hand or proof of application submitted at least 6 weeks prior)
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 and 07:00 to 19:30, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Patient Types and Diagnoses: High and low risk antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean sections, emergent discharges, postpartum tubal ligations, and unplanned hysterectomies
• Clinical Skills: Experience with assisting after vaginal deliveries, setting up delivery tables, breaking them down for processing, setting up rooms for deliveries, and stocking supplies
• EMR: Epic
• Scrub Color: Dark blue, provided by the hospital
• Floating: No
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• On Call: No

• Total Bed Level: Level 3 trauma center with 388 beds, including 12 labor and delivery beds, 3 operating rooms, and 2 OB emergency room rooms, delivering approximately 150-175 patients per month
