Job Summary:
Telemedicine Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Spokane, Washington. This role involves working on a designated neuroscience and neurosurgery unit with a focus on stroke and traumatic brain injury patients. The RN will be responsible for monitoring neurological patients, utilizing the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and providing specialized neurological care in a short-term acute care facility.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Shift time is Days, with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission); ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; experience with Neuro Stepdown, Pre/Post neurosurgery, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. One year of experience preferred; experience with Epic charting system required.
• Special unit: Designated stroke unit, thrombectomy-capable, with JCAHO designation; Spine Center of Excellence and Level 3 Epilepsy Center.
• Patient population: Adolescents, adults, geriatrics.
• Patient Ratio: 1:4.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to meet unit needs.
• Additional Information: The patient census is approximately 48; interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, and more. Candidates should be comfortable managing neurology and neurosurgery patients, including trauma and cerebrovascular accidents.
