Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs machine and hand finishing techniques to smooth and blend rough components into finished products according to customer specifications.
• Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications.
• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product.
• Ensures deburring equipment performance by taking proper care of all tools and equipment.
• Ensures continuous production flow by maintaining proper and adequate inventory of deburring and lapping supplies.
• Ensures that all products conform to print specifications by following operations/manufacturing instructions regarding deburring and/or lapping requirements for each part produced.
• Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
• Other various duties as needed or as assigned.

Position Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 2 shifts available. 1st shift 6am-2:30pm M-F and 2nd shift 1:30 pm-midnight M-Thur. Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities including (but not limited to): Basic data entry into manufacturing software system. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
