Travel RN Job Details Position: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) Location: Fort Myers, Florida Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,920 Start Date: January 8, 2027 End Date: April 10, 2027 Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Unit: 46-bed Progressive Care Unit Patient Ratio: Approximately 5–6 patients per nurse Electronic Medical Record: Epic EMR Openings: 4 travel RN positions Progressive Care Unit RN Requirements Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Florida At least 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit, PCU, or intermediate-care nursing experience Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Previous experience caring for progressive-care or other higher-acuity adult patients Ability to document accurately in the Epic electronic medical record Degree accreditation must be documented in the professional profile, or at least 5 years of relevant nursing experience is required Willingness to float as needed, including to other PCU units, emergency department hold areas, and nearby affiliated campuses Professional, helpful, and engaged approach when working with patients and colleagues Ability to meet all required documentation deadlines before the travel nursing assignment begins PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring progressive or intermediate-level monitoring and treatment Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in acuity, and promptly communicate clinical concerns Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with current orders and nursing standards Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, neurological condition, and other relevant clinical indicators Coordinate care with providers, nursing colleagues, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the Epic electronic medical record Float to designated units or affiliated campuses when operational needs require Promote a supportive PCU culture through dependable teamwork, flexibility, and patient-centered care Apply now for this Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse travel contract in Fort Myers, Florida, and join a dedicated healthcare team on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
