Description

• Engage in focused, one-on-one therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capacities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to devise harmonious care strategies.
• Offer valuable education to patients and their families, ensuring progress is maintained beyond the therapy room.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, securing a consistent care experience throughout the treatment process.
• Document care and progress meticulously, complying with all state, federal, and organizational documentation guidelines.
• Commit to lifelong learning by remaining current with advancements in the speech-language pathology field through continuing education and collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to obtaining ASHA certification if applicable.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Essential: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within the first month of employment.
