Guest Service Rep - $19/hr + Shift Differential

Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on swing and grave shiftESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWelcome guests, answer questions and provide information and support to guestsInput, update and maintain accurate player information in the casino management systemIssue Island Passport club cards for club membersBe knowledgeable about and provide guests with information regarding Island Passport club membership, property-wide events and other property amenitiesRedeem cash, prizes and comps for guests following department guidelinesMeet goals as established by managementMaintain a working knowledge of promotional systemsPerformance point and promotion adjustments following department guidelinesKNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIESRequired Knowledge and Certification:High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experiencePreferred Knowledge and Certification:1-year hospitality or guest service experience, preferably in casinosRequired Skills:Accurate and detail orientedHighly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication and problem solving skillsProven high guest service skillsProficient computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and WindowsRequired Abilities:Ability to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voiceAbility to retain large amounts of information regarding the property and its amenitiesAbility to read and write EnglishPHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk, stand and/or sit for long periods throughout the dayMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel, stoop and twistMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects occasionallyMust have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds occasionallyMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsWORKING ENVIRONMENTOffice, restaurant, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke and outdoors for guest eventsMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysExtensive computer useOccasionally must deal with angry or hostile individualsHigh volume direct public contact
