The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR WG-5701-10/11, to work at the Air Force Materiel Command, (AFMC) in the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) in the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) with 309 MMXG at HILL AIR FORCE BASE located in LAYTON, UTAH. 2026 Salary Range: ($63,924-$79,013) / Yearly with locality

The primary purpose of this position is The operations of weapons systems peculiar support equipment, lifting devices, crane operations, handling, loading, and transport of assets from origin to destination, both locally at Hill AFB and remote locations, requiring over-the-road operations in several western states.

Qualifications:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain & maintain security clearance

- This is a designated Drug Testing Position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)

- The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or overtime.

- The employee may be required to work during base exercises, contingencies or emergency situations.

- The employee may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial Locations for both training and mission accomplishment.

- Based on operational necessity, occasional TDY away from home base is probable and will require travel by a variety of modes to include military or commercial air, Government Owned Vehicle etc.

-The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid Commercial Driver's License with Hazardous Material Endorsement and medical card may be required.

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Skills in operating trucks or truck tractors with trailer or semi-trailers coupled with a turntable or pivot hook.

2. Skills in operating over-sized/over-weight vehicles and specialized heavy equipment.

3. Ability to operate vehicles equipped with special-purpose equipment with more than normal controls.

4. Knowledge of handling and transporting hazardous materials.

5. Knowledge & skill in operating mobile cranes, rail mounted cranes and rigging.
