Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations across various patient demographics using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
- Craft individualized treatment plans targeting specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges, with a commitment to addressing both short and long-term goals.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to formulate cohesive care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinic environment, supporting their journeys at home.
- Participate in infrequent inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the care process.
- Maintain organized and timely documentation that meets all necessary regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Commit to ongoing education and professional development, staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY) if you have yet to achieve ASHA certification.
Certifications
- A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within the first month of employment.
