PharmacistThe Staff Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical care, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This role works closely with physicians, healthcare providers, and patients to optimize medication therapy while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards.Responsibilities:Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficientlyCompound medications as required and ensure proper preparation and labelingReview prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosage, and potential drug interactionsCounsel patients on medication use, side effects, and proper administrationCollaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize medication therapyMaintain accurate prescription records and medication documentationSupervise medication storage, inventory, and pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with regulatory standardsSupport medication safety and quality assurance initiativesQualifications:Active Pharmacist license in the State of New York requiredStrong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, dosage forms, and therapeutic usesExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensingStrong communication and patient counseling skillsProficiency with pharmacy software and prescription processing systemsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environmentPrevious hospital, emergency department, or retail pharmacy experience preferred
