We are seeking two Welders to join our team. Candidates must have experience welding stainless steel and aluminum.

Welder

The Welder will be able to effectively utilize both MIG and TIG welding process, brazing and cutting process with oxy-acetylene torch and adequately finish and deburr product with various grinders and finishing tools on carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. The welder will be required to review assembly blueprints to understand requirements and AWS welding symbols.

Responsibilities:

• The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, brazing and welding techniques and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding specifications.
• Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
• Ensure welding machines are set properly according to the material requirements.
• Executes daily operations of MIG and TIG welding, and rework welding.
• Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
• Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
• Undertake continuous training and development.
• Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
• Improve and increase the quality of products by managing materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding, including designs, uses, maintenance and repair.
• Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints.
• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
• Basic understanding of mathematics related to welding assignments.
• Proven success as a MIG and TIG Welder.
• Experience using a torch, welder, drill press, cutoff saw, hand tools, press brake, shear and vertical saw.
• Cutting materials including steel, lead and aluminum
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
• Must be able to see details at close range.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship OR successful completion of an in-company, three-year training program preferred.
