We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Chief Estimator to lead our estimating function. In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in setting the stage for project success, managing bid processes, and delivering cost-effective, accurate estimates across diverse commercial, industrial, and design-build projects.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and drive the entire bid lifecycle, from initial takeoffs to final proposal submission.
• Lead accurate cost estimation and budget development for a variety of construction services including electrical, site infrastructure, interior buildouts, and design-build projects.
• Collaborate with pre-construction, project management, and trade teams to ensure competitive, value-aligned bids.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing estimating team, fostering continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
• Maintain and improve estimating standards, cost databases, templates, and bidding tools.
• Partner with leadership to review bid strategies, assess risks, and align estimates with company objectives.
• Build and sustain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure reliable, cost-effective quoting.
• Support proposal presentations and clarify costing to clients as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of estimating experience, ideally from general contracting or design-build environments.
• Proven leadership in managing estimating teams or serving as a lead estimator on sizable bids.
• Deep knowledge of estimating methods, cost analysis, and construction budgeting.
• Track record of successful bids for commercial, industrial, or energy-sector projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating) and MS Office
• Strong communication, organization, and multi-project management abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
