We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This position will play an important role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong general accounting background, solid Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Assist with and/or lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
\n
• Prepare and post journal entries
\n
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations
\n
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
\n
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
\n
• Analyze account activity and research variances
\n
• Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
\n
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
\n
• Assist with annual audits and provide requested schedules and documentation
\n
• Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
\n
• Partner with other departments to resolve accounting-related questions and discrepancies
\n
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
\n
• 3+ years of general accounting experience
\n
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
\n
• Hands-on month-end close and financial statement experience
\n
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
\n
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems
\n
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
\n
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
