Senior Materials Representative -Receiving Clerk, 2nd ShiftUSA, Decatur, ALHow You'll Create PossibilitiesReceiving Inbound MaterialReceive inbound freight by validating the ASN with physical receipt quantityLoad necessary information into material management system, identify inaccuracies and escalate appropriatelyResponsible for identification and reconciliation of all receiving variances using problem solving skillsConduct yard checks as necessary to ensure record accuracy of trailers on premises as reflected in TrackxAudit pick locations to ensure parts are available and in location for the materials drivers to pick for assembly linesResponsible for ensuring we are shipping the right returnable containers back to suppliers in a timely mannerParticipates and is key contributor in annual physical inventoryParticipate on AWOs and embrace lean manufacturing concepts in efforts to continuously improve materials workWhat You'll Bring to Our TeamLeadership experience and/or technical acumen within supply chain (ie: manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, materials, quality, procurement, fulfillment or related functional area).High school diploma; additional coursework or training in supply chain, logistics, inventory control, or materials management preferred.Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or appliance-production environment.Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or materials handling in a manufacturing environment preferred.Experience with inbound freight, advance shipping notices (ASNs), receiving documentation, and resolving quantity or shipment discrepancies.Ability to use computer-based inventory or material management systems; experience with TrackX or similar yard-management systems is a plus.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory, trailer, and receiving records.Skilled in identifying, investigating, documenting, and escalating receiving and inventory variances.Ability to communicate clearly and provide directions to dock drivers and other team members.Knowledge of safe material-handling practices and the ability to follow established procedures.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage changing priorities.Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of spreadsheets, email, and inventory systems.Ability to participate in physical inventory counts and audit pick locations.Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methods preferred.Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, which may include standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials within company safety guidelines.Reliable attendance and commitment to teamwork, safety, accuracy, and continuous improvementWorking Conditions:Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment.Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds.Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots.Our CultureOur work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
