The StateView hotel boasts 164 guest rooms, and 8,000 sq ft of event space.What you will have an opportunity to do:We are seeking an energetic, organized, and detail-oriented Banquet Manager to join our Food & Beverage leadership team and oversee the execution of our banquet and event operations.This dynamic role provides the opportunity to lead and develop our banquet team while ensuring seamless event execution, exceptional guest experiences, and consistent service standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment, understands the details that make group events successful, and has a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences.As Banquet Manager, you will work closely with our Culinary, Sales, Food & Beverage, and hotel leadership teams to ensure every event—from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations and meetings—is thoughtfully planned and flawlessly executed.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and supervise banquet and group events from pre-planning and setup through event execution, breakdown, and post-event evaluation.Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during events, responding to requests and resolving concerns promptly and professionally.Lead, train, coach, and develop banquet team members while creating a positive, accountable, and service-focused work environment.Manage banquet staffing and scheduling based on business levels and event requirements.Ensure banquet spaces are properly set and maintained according to event specifications, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and service standards.Oversee food presentation, service execution, sanitation, and food safety practices in accordance with health regulations and company standards.Maintain appropriate inventory levels for banquet supplies, equipment, and operating materials while identifying opportunities to control costs and minimize waste.Utilize POS and hotel systems accurately for event billing, payment processing, and applicable cash-handling procedures.Monitor event and shift operations to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional hospitality experiences.Partner closely with the Culinary team on menu execution, timing, presentation, and special guest requirements.Collaborate with the Sales and Events teams to ensure event details and client expectations are clearly communicated and successfully executed.Partner with other hotel departments to coordinate operational needs related to meetings, social events, and group functions.Assist with departmental budgeting, expense management, labor productivity, and cost-control initiatives without compromising service quality.Maintain banquet equipment, event spaces, and storage areas to ensure they are organized, safe, and operationally ready.Support a culture of teamwork, recognition, accountability, and continuous improvement.What are we looking for?What Are We Looking For?At least two years of hotel Food & Beverage leadership experience, with banquet or catering experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Strong understanding of banquet operations, event setup, service standards, and group event execution.Excellent communication and guest service skills with the ability to handle client and guest needs professionally and confidently.Experience managing staffing levels, schedules, labor, and day-to-day shift operations.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.Working knowledge of food production, banquet service, sanitation, and food safety standards.Familiarity with bar and beverage operations is preferred.Experience working collaboratively with Culinary, Sales, Events, and hotel operations teams.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on event and business needs.Join the StateView TeamAt The StateView Hotel, hospitality is more than what we provide to our guests—it is how we support one another.
