Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with a standard ratio of 4:1 (with cath recovery) and a maximum ratio of 6:1
• Monitor patients using remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps, adhering to unit Telemetry Monitoring and Stroke policies
• Assist with and support procedures performed on the unit including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Rotate every other weekend as part of scheduling requirements; agency staff may be floated to Ortho/Med-Surg as needed
• Strive to meet patient satisfaction benchmarks in alignment with unit goals

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Kentucky
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia training

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring systems
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation platform
• Experience with cath recovery patients
• Prior travel nursing experience in a telemetry or step-down setting
