Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with a standard patient ratio of 4:1 with cath recovery and a maximum ratio of 6:1
• Monitor and interpret remote telemetry readings and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Assist with and support procedures performed on the unit including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Operate unit equipment including remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps
• Adhere to unit-specific policies including the Telemetry Monitoring Policy and Stroke Policy; participate in every-other-weekend scheduling and float to Ortho/Med-Surg as needed per floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia training

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cath recovery patients
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Comfort with floating to Ortho/Med-Surg units as needed
