Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with a standard ratio of 4:1 (with cath recovery) and a maximum ratio of 6:1–7:1
• Monitor patients using remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps; document care using the Meditech system
• Assist with or support procedures performed on the unit including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Apply knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia management in daily patient care
• Adhere to unit-specific policies including the Telemetry Monitoring Policy and Stroke Policy
• Rotate every other weekend and float to Ortho/Med-Surg as needed per floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Kentucky
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring systems
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
• Prior experience with chest tube management, paracentesis, or thoracentesis support
• Background in dysrhythmia recognition and management
