CyberSecurity Intern

Overview Global Payments is seeking an intern for Cyber Security to support the Global Payments Cyber Security Program. Responsibilities Handling of cyber threat intelligence, guided cyber threat hunt, endpoint forensics, and/or vulnerability research. Develop and enhance playbooks and procedures for focused projects. Monitor systems for threats and vulnerabilities as assigned. Contribute to information security policies, procedures, and documentation to improve security capabilities. Create meaningful metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of security controls and team operations. Participate in security architecture reviews and exception approval processes. Generate security-related artifacts to meet internal and external compliance requirements. Keep abreast of industry and technology threats to guide security decisions. Participate in program improvement for future interns. Qualifications Working toward a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Achieved the following certifications or equivalent: IT Fundamentals, Network+, A+, Security+. Working toward one or more of the following certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, GCP Cloud Digital Leader, or a security specialization. Awareness of FinTech related compliance frameworks such as PCI, SOX, and GLBA. Knowledge of industry‑standard security compliance programs including PCI, SOX, and GLBA. Awareness of National Security Standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and NIST SP800 series. Preferred: adaptable, motivated self‑starter, strong communicator, disciplined.
