About the Role If you are a proven hunter who enjoys creating your own pipeline, winning new business, and owning the sales cycle from first conversation through close, this role is built for you. As a Software Sales Representative, you will sell Thryv's Growth Platform to small business owners in an assigned local territory. You will spend most of your time prospecting, creating opportunities, meeting with business owners, understanding their growth challenges, presenting solutions, and closing net-new customers. Own a full-cycle, new-business sales process from prospecting through close. Generate pipeline through outbound calling, email, local networking, referrals, and company-supported prospecting programs. Build relationships with local business owners and become a trusted advisor on practical business-growth challenges. Conduct in-person meetings and sales presentations throughout your assigned territory; this is a field-based role. Diagnose a prospect's needs and connect them to the Thryv Growth Platform's capabilities. Manage a pipeline against clear sales goals and consistently move opportunities forward to close. Participate in sales training, call calibrations, coaching, and team meetings. INVEST SMARTER: Reporting and ROI insights that help business owners understand which marketing activities are driving leads, customers, and revenue. WORK WITH THE TOOLS THEY ALREADY USE: Integrations that allow businesses to keep the systems they rely on while connecting growth data, leads, and insights. You do not need to be a software expert on day one. We will train you on the platform, sales motion, and tools you need to confidently lead conversations with business owners. Bring your ideas, competitive energy, and creativity to the way we grow our business. We're Looking For People Who: Have a hunter mindset and genuinely enjoy prospecting for new business. Are motivated by goals, competition, and measurable results. Can build rapport quickly with small business owners and earn credibility in a short sales cycle. Know how to create and manage a self-generated pipeline. Can clearly explain technology and business value in simple, customer-friendly language. Take coaching well, apply feedback quickly, and continuously improve. Are resilient when deals do not go your way and stay persistent without losing professionalism. Can work independently while staying accountable to a structured sales process. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of direct sales experience required; SaaS, software, technology, SMB, or business-services sales experience is a plus. 2+ years in an outbound, full-cycle sales role with responsibility for prospecting through close. Demonstrated experience generating pipeline through phone, email, networking, referrals, or other proactive methods. A track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals or quotas. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage a pipeline and competing priorities. Comfort working independently in a field-based sales environment. Valid driver's license and ability to meet a 50% driving requirement. Must live locally to the posted market, generally within a one-hour commute. The Field Experience This is a territory-based, field sales role. You will work from a home office between customer meetings, but you should expect to spend more than 50% of your time in the field meeting local business owners, prospecting within your territory, and building your local network.
