Adult Medical/Surgical - Psychiatric Co-Morbidity Unit | RN | Nights | Rochester, NY Area Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
• Shift: Straight Nights
• Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback required per unit needs
• Charge responsibilities per unit needs
• 48 hours billed at regular time will be considered

About the Unit

• A unique adult medical/surgical unit - one of only a handful of similar units in the country
• Serves patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral health issues
• An expanding unit seeking flexible, enthusiastic, and committed nurses to support its growth
• Nurses are eligible for dual-certification in both medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing after the experience requirement is attained

Position Requirements

• Active RN License - New York State only
• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical experience
• Psychiatry/psychology experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Willingness to care for a varied patient population in a changing environment

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association only
