Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Intermediate Medical Care Unit (IMCU). This unit specializes in delivering exceptional, evidence-based care to adult acute patients requiring specialized medical attention. The role involves direct patient care, monitoring, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Shift & Schedule Night Shift: 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Every other weekend required Responsibilities Provide patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7. Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Administer IV therapy and phlebotomy, including peripheral line care and management. Manage respiratory needs including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, and non-invasive airway management. Implement and adhere to isolation precautions. Qualifications Active New York State RN license required. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a relevant specialty. BLS and NIHSS certifications required. Unit Information The IMCU is a critical care step-down unit consisting of 26 beds, where patients transition from various areas, including the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
