Primary Care Physician

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 2 full-time Primary Care Physicians to provide services to VA Providence Health Care System, Hyannis CBOC in Hyannis, MA. Job Summary Primary Care Physicians must provide direct patient care to our veteran population located at the Hyannis Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Hyannis, MA. Primary Care Physicians are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals. Pay Rate: $150 / hr Duties Initial evaluation, treatment and management of minor wound care, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness, burns, musculoskeletal trauma, dermatological illness, ENT, eye and urological problems. Initial evaluation and ongoing management of chronic diseases, such as coronary artery disease, atherovascular disease, Type I and II diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, PTSD, depression and other chronic medial and psychiatric conditions Follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients. Mechanisms must be in place to provide notification of test results for patients receiving care. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings. Attend all staff meetings as required by the facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee. Complete the appropriate QM/PI documentation pertaining to all procedures, complication and outcome of examinations Patient documentation is completed using the current electronic health record (EHR) Document care given and select appropriate Evaluation and Management (E&M) procedure codes in the current EHR. Follow all established patient safety and infection control standards of care. Prevent medication errors, falls and patient injury caused by acts of commission or omission in the delivery of care. Refer all patient/customer service issues to the Primary Supervisory Physician and/or Deputy Chief of Primary Care. Qualification(s) A current CPR/BLS certificate by the American Heart Association is required. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. A minimum of two (2) years of recent experience with Primary Care Physician Service. Current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia Minimum of 2 professional references DEA Registration Additional Information Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am–4:30pm Please note: this position is notional and contingent upon the award of a government contract.
