Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes. This role supports the accounting department with day-to-day operations, financial reporting, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or variances
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (entry-level roles may be accepted)
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good organizational and time-management abilities

Compensation: $75,000-85,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
