Staff Accountant

Overview ProRecruiters is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing and dynamic team! Experience: At least 5 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Type: Full-time; Direct Hire Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Job Description Oversee accounting operations to maintain accurate and compliant financial records. Prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and conduct financial reviews. Manage prepaid expenses and amortization schedules. Coordinate annual property tax filings to ensure timely submission. Analyze financial data and present insights to support business decisions. Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures. Support audits by preparing documentation and resolving discrepancies. Partner with internal teams to uphold accurate reporting and strong controls. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows. Position Requirements Solid knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred). Strong grasp of internal controls and documentation best practices. Skilled in analyzing trends, variances, and key financial metrics. Familiarity with accounting regulations and compliance requirements. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
