Senior Staff Accountant

Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant Industry: Manufacturing / Distribution Location: Tulsa, OK Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 Work Schedule: Monday-Friday | Full-Time | Onsite Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). About The Company Our client is a well-established and growing organization seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support daily financial operations. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple accounting functions while contributing to process improvements and financial accuracy. Job Description The Accountant II will support general accounting activities, including account reconciliations, inventory accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, sales tax administration, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining accurate financial records. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies. Support inventory accounting activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis. Manage accounts receivable balances and assist with collection efforts. Process customer payments, credits, rebates, and account adjustments. Record and reconcile daily cash transactions. Assist with accounts payable processing, including ACH, wire, and check payments. Maintain customer and vendor records within the ERP system. Support sales tax administration and documentation management. Research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities. Prepare reports and documentation for audits and financial reviews. Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with retention policies. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies. Assist leadership with special projects and additional accounting support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 3–5 years of accounting experience required. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience working with ERP systems is preferred.
