The Treo Platform is onsemi's next-generation analog and mixed-signal technology platform built on advanced 65nm Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS (BCD) technology. Qualifications - External

Minimum Qualifications :

• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in: Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Related engineering discipline.
• Strong academic background in semiconductor devices, circuits, digital design, or computer architecture.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following: Verilog SystemVerilog VHDL Python C/C++.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience through coursework, research, personal projects, or previous internships in one or more of the following areas: Analog & Mixed-Signal Analog circuit design CMOS fundamentals SPICE simulation Device physics Mixed-signal systems Digital Design RTL development FPGA design Computer architecture Digital logic design Hardware acceleration Verification & Modeling SystemVerilog UVM Functional verification Verilog-A / Verilog-AMS Real Number Modeling

This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced analog, digital, and mixed-signal engineers developing next-generation integrated circuits for automotive, industrial, and AI applications.

As an IC Design Engineering Intern, you may:

• Assist in the design and simulation of analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Support development of power-management and clocking functions such as voltage regulators, oscillators, and timing circuits.
• Run circuit simulations and analyze performance across operating conditions.
• Learn industry-standard analog design methodologies and tools.
• Digital Design & RTL Development Develop and debug RTL using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Support implementation of digital control and interface logic. Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Contribute to simulation and functional verification activities.
• Mixed-Signal Verification Create simulation testbenches and verification environments.
• Develop SystemVerilog test cases, assertions, and coverage metrics.
• Support verification of analog IP integrated into larger digital-on-top SoC environments.
• Debug simulation failures and help identify root causes.
• Behavioral Modeling & Automation
• Develop behavioral models using SystemVerilog, Verilog-AMS, or Verilog-A.
• Assist with scripting and automation of engineering workflows.
• Explore data-driven and AI-assisted approaches to improve design productivity.
• Collaboration Work closely with analog designers, digital engineers, verification engineers, and validation teams.
