Urgent Care Provider - FNP or PA
Are you a passionate and experienced urgent care provider looking for a new challenge? If so, we want you to join our team!
We are a fast-paced and dynamic urgent care clinic that provides high-quality and affordable medical services to our community. We are looking for an urgent care provider who can diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and perform minor procedures.
As an urgent care provider at our clinic, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and obtain medical histories from patients
- Diagnose and manage common urgent care conditions such as infections, injuries, allergies, asthma, etc.
- Prescribe medications and therapies according to evidence-based guidelines and protocols
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, x-rays, EKGs, and other diagnostic studies
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, incision and drainage, etc.
- Educate and counsel patients on health promotion and disease prevention
- Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Document patient encounters and follow up in electronic medical records
- Maintain current knowledge and skills in urgent care practice
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
- A valid state license and certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) or physician assistant (PA)
- A current certification in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS)
- At least two years of experience as an FNP or PA in an urgent care or similar setting
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
