Position Summary

The General Medicine Assistant plays a key role in supporting Veterans as they transition into care within the General Medicine Department. This position serves as a welcoming point of contact for new Veterans, ensuring their medical records are accurately collected, processed, and maintained throughout their care journey. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with sensitive medical information in a fast-paced office environment.

Core Responsibilities

· Welcome new Veterans to the General Medicine Department via office visits

• Collect active duty and post-duty medical records
• Scan and upload all medical records to the SharePoint Drive
• Maintain accurate logs of medical records received and sent to Veterans
• Update and notate corresponding accounts in the CRM system
• Adhere to company file-naming conventions
• Full-time, in-office position: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

What We’re Looking For

• Computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint

Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to actively listen and display empathy

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with veterans or familiarity with the VA system

• Experience with medical terminology

• Knowledge of veteran benefits, disability ratings, or government benefit programs

Required Qualifications

• Must be available for the 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST shift

• Must be able to report on-site

Condition of Employment

· A Level 2 background check is required.
