JOB DUTIES: Are you a dedicated and compassionate Physician specializing in Internal Medicine? Do you have a passion for improving the health and well-being of adult patients? As an Internal Medicine Physician, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical care to adult patients, managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. You will conduct thorough assessments and evaluations, diagnose and manage complex medical conditions, provide preventative care, health education, and ongoing management of chronic diseases. This position is regional and may require long hours, weekend and holiday work, and travel within the region.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, physician assistants, and specialists to provide coordinated and comprehensive care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated, the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experiences are based on a 40‑hour work week. Applicants are required to provide evidence of education, certification, and licensure.

• EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited medical or osteopathic school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; and completion of a residency program accredited by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

• LICENSURE: A current license to practice medicine in the State of Hawai'i is required. The physician must be duly licensed as a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and must be approved for Active Staff membership and clinical privileges on the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Membership in good standing with Kaua'i Medical Associates is required. A current, valid State of Hawai'i type #3 driver's license is preferred. Current registration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and a current State Controlled Substance license from the State of Hawai'i Department of Public Safety's Narcotics Enforcement Division (NED) are mandatory.

• CERTIFICATIONS: Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) in Basic Life Support (adult, child, infant, etc.) for Healthcare Workers and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required. Candidates for certain specialties may be required to possess current certifications issued by the AHA in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Board certification by an appropriate certifying organization must be obtained within three (3) years of employment unless specifically exempted.
