Property Accountant
Our real estate client is seeking a Property Accountant. You will handle a range of responsibilities from daily transaction processing to the analysis of financial statements. This role requires a solid understanding of both accrual and tax basis accounting, as well as proficiency with Windows-based computer software. Expected starting base salary $40 to $45 per hour. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and input recurring and non-recurring journal entries for both accrual and tax books.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and tax basis.
- Review daily cash receipts.
- Maintain the aging schedule.
- Review invoices, including vendor coding, approval verification, and budgetary review.
- Initiate daily and monthly check runs and input related data.
- Assemble monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and cash flow statements.
Requirements include:
- Fundamental understanding of tax and accrual basis accounting.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent work ethic.
Experience includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business.
