Production Planner

Since 1940, we've remained committed to creating better textiles—delivered seamlessly by experts who care.The Planner will have the overall responsibility for the planning and establishment of production schedules, monitoring of materials inventories needed for production, tracking progress of production, and review of factors which affect production schedules. Must effectively collect and communicate information and changes between Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Senior Management.Key Responsibilities Include:Create and maintain the production schedule in the ERP system and communicate the production schedules to the manufacturing sitesService customer demand needs and minimize backorders while maintaining an acceptable inventory of finished goodsManage outside contractor schedules to coordinate supply chain activities to support scheduled productionManage outside contractor relationships of those related to productionUnderstand equipment limitations and plant capabilities to maximize production efficiency and support other departmentsDevelop extensive knowledge of specific product line(s)Train and educate internal employees on finite scheduling and current planning and materials management techniquesReview and maintain stocking levels for stocked manufactured productsThis role will also include but is not limited to inventory management functions and related systems information maintenanceQualifications Include:Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university required1-5 years' experience in a planning or forecasting position preferredDetail oriented with excellent communication and organization skillsMRP or MRP II experience in an engineer-to-order, or make-to-order environment preferredWhy Work at Standard Textile:Competitive pay with Career Growth OpportunitiesFull benefits — medical, dental, visionPaid Parental and Bereavement Leave401k plan with company match"Dress for Your Day" (business casual) Dress CodeDiscount on Standard Textile ProductsHybrid working environment, both onsite and remoteThe hybrid schedule for this role includes in-office work on Tuesdays - Thursdays, and additional onsite days may be required during the training period.
