Junior Staff Accountant Role:
As the Junior Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Controller/CFO and day to day financial operations. This position is responsible for core accounting functions and administrative finance support. The Junior Staff Accountant will manage transactional accounting, assist with reporting, and provide administrative support while collaborating with leadership and operational teams. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast paced environment.
Supporting the Controller/CFO with daily accounting operations
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Preparing, issuing, and tracking customer invoices
Monitoring aging reports and assisting with collection efforts
Supporting banking operations and cash management activities
Monitoring cash flow and fee projections
Collaborating with office managers and administrative staff on financial processes
Performing accounting-related office management functions as needed
Coordinating and assisting with month-end close activities
Handling additional accounting and finance-related duties as assigned

Our client has an immediate need for a Junior Staff Accountant in Plano, TX. This is a full-time, onsite role for a 4-6 week contract, providing hands-on experience in financial operations and accounting support.

Junior Staff Accountant Background Profile:
1-2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
Accounting degree preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Experience with accounting systems (Deltek Vision a plus)
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
