Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days in-office / 1 day WFH

Travel: Less than 25%, domestic U.S.

Jackson Lucas is partnering with a well-capitalized global investment management platform seeking an experienced audit, operational due diligence, counterparty risk, or financial-services controls professional to join its Minneapolis-based Investment Operations team.

\n

\n

This role sits on the buy-side within Investment Operations and is focused on evaluating the outside organizations the firm relies on to originate, service, administer, manage, and support its investments. These may include asset managers, loan originators, servicers, administrators, investment platforms, fund sponsors, and other financial-services counterparties.

\n

\n

This is not primarily an internal RCSA/ERM, AML/KYC, or technology/cybersecurity vendor-risk role.

\n

\n

This is an externally focused role combining audit, operational due diligence, financial controls, and counterparty risk. You will meet directly with the management teams of outside financial and investment organizations, assess how their businesses operate, identify financial and operational risks, and develop recommendations that help inform investment and counterparty decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do

\n

• Conduct onsite and remote reviews of external asset managers, servicers, originators, administrators, platforms, and other financial-services counterparties.
\n
• Evaluate financial reporting, cash controls, reconciliations, valuation, governance, segregation of duties, technology, cybersecurity, business continuity, and SOC reports.
\n
• Meet with CFOs, COOs, controllers, compliance, technology, and other functional leaders to understand operations and identify potential risks.
\n
• Review financial statements, audit reports, policies, procedures, regulatory materials, and other diligence documentation.
\n
• Prepare findings and recommendations and help improve diligence, risk assessment, reporting, and ongoing monitoring processes.

Relevant Backgrounds May Include

• Audit, assurance, internal audit, risk advisory, operational risk, controls, operational due diligence, counterparty risk, third-party risk, vendor risk, or financial-services risk.
\n
• Professionals from Big 4, national, regional, or other public accounting/advisory firms with financial-services, asset management, investment management, funds, banking, insurance, or wealth-management exposure.
\n
• Professionals currently or previously working within asset managers, alternative investment firms, banks, insurers, wealth managers, investment platforms, or other financial institutions.
\n
• Relevant experience may include financial reporting, valuation, fund or investment operations, cash/treasury controls, reconciliations, SOC reporting, governance, third-party oversight, service-provider review, or broader control environments.
\n

Total Compensation Range: $175–250K+ in cash compensation, with potential for additional long-term incentive compensation for highly qualified Director-level candidates.
