Senior Technical Accountant

Senior Technical Accountant Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to dive deep into complex, high-visibility accounting areas including revenue recognition, M&A, equity and debt instruments, derivatives, and financial reporting. You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to sophisticated transactions while partnering closely with the business and expanding your technical skill set. The role also offers a highly flexible hybrid schedule, with just one day per week in the office. Key Responsibilities Partner cross-functionally with sales, legal, and finance to evaluate and structure non‑standard sales agreements. Review customer contracts and billing arrangements involving non‑standard terms or multiple performance obligations to ensure proper revenue treatment under US GAAP. Perform detailed revenue recognition analyses in accordance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers). Execute month‑end close activities, including revenue and deferred revenue calculations, account reconciliations, royalty accrual estimates, and analysis of revenue trends. Support M&A initiatives, including accounting due diligence and post‑acquisition accounting integration. Coordinate with external auditors by providing supporting documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Prepare ad hoc analyses to support business partners and management decision‑making. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent practical experience required. 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred. Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, with deep expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15). Experience reviewing customer contracts and prior revenue accounting or industry experience is a plus. Highly organized with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and administrative skills. Experience working with large ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; strong project management and multitasking capabilities. Pay Transparency The estimated annual pay range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000.
