About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Industry Advancement and Partnerships. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving the organization's growth by expanding its market reach, revenue base, and commercial relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for business development in its broadest sense, including acquiring new members, securing strategic partnerships, and building non-dues revenue streams. The role demands a strong external focus, with an emphasis on measurable growth outcomes and the discipline of a senior business development executive. Key responsibilities include identifying and executing strategic partnerships, managing a portfolio of active relationships, and developing new non-dues revenue opportunities. The Vice President will also be accountable for member acquisition, maintaining industry knowledge, and leading a team to meet departmental growth targets. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in business development, membership growth, strategic partnerships, or commercial revenue generation. A proven track record in building and closing complex deals, as well as experience in managing a professional team, is essential. The role requires a candidate with strong commercial instincts, exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate member-governed environments. Financial literacy, including budget development and non-dues revenue modeling, is a key attribute. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with an advanced degree being strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be adept at using CRM platforms and business productivity applications, and have the ability to represent the organization credibly in diverse settings.
