About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Government Partnerships to spearhead the development and management of commercial relationships within the U.S. government customer ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for accelerating market development, strengthening commercial opportunities, and positioning the company at the forefront of emerging government initiatives related to quantum technologies. This senior role involves building and maintaining trusted relationships with government leaders, agencies, national laboratories, and other strategic stakeholders to influence the adoption and procurement of quantum technologies. The VP will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and create pathways for commercial engagement, support pipeline development, and ensure the company is strategically represented in government technology investment and policy discussions. Candidates for this role must have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 10 years of experience in the U.S. federal government, defense, national security, research, or advanced technology sectors. A deep understanding of the U.S. federal ecosystem and a proven track record of managing senior-level government relationships are essential. The role requires outstanding communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to operate effectively in complex, highly matrixed environments. Experience in quantum computing, advanced computing, AI, defense, cybersecurity, or other emerging technology sectors is valued, as is an established network across relevant government and research institutions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex technologies into meaningful government conversations and will demonstrate strong political awareness, judgment, and organizational agility.
