Purchasing Agent Location: Pinckard, AL Pay Rate: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience) Shift: Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Fridays 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM Join the team. Be valued. Qualifications 1 year of purchasing experience, coupled with a background in administrative roles, customer service, and accounts payable/receivable. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Exceptional decision‑making, communication, and time‑management skills. May need to lift up to 15 lbs. Responsibilities Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment. Sort and distribute incoming mail and prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms. Audit credit card reports, match invoices to checks; obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly. Maintain W‑9 and 1099 records and respond to all vendor inquiries. Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies, and assist in month‑end closing. Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
