Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (On-site)

Job Type: Full-Time

A respected boutique litigation law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its Salt Lake City office. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated civil litigation matters, including medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, insurance coverage, healthcare law, professional liability defense, and other complex litigation matters .

The ideal candidate will have prior litigation experience and be comfortable managing cases through all stages of the litigation process while working closely with clients, experts, insurers, and legal teams.

• Manage litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution or trial.

• Develop case strategy and advise clients throughout the litigation process.

• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests, and other legal documents.

• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal briefs.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Attend court hearings, case management conferences, and other legal proceedings.

• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, settlement negotiations, and trial.

• Collaborate with clients, insurance carriers, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams.

• Maintain accurate case files while managing multiple litigation matters and deadlines.

• Active member of the Utah Bar , or ability to obtain Utah Bar admission.

• Prior civil litigation experience required.

• Experience in medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, healthcare law, professional liability, or complex civil litigation is preferred.

• Strong legal research, analytical, and legal writing skills.

• Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities.

• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.

• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Trial experience is a plus but not required.
