Part-Time Bilingual Pharmacist – Vietnamese & English

MTM Pharmacy is seeking a motivated Part-Time Pharmacist who is fluent in both Vietnamese and English to join our growing pharmacy team.

This position is unique because the pharmacist will help us build and grow a new pharmacy location from the ground up . In addition to traditional pharmacist responsibilities, we are looking for someone who is personable, community-oriented, and willing to assist management with marketing, community outreach, relationship building, and developing our clientele/patient base .

Schedule:

• 2 days per week at our new pharmacy location scheduled to open October 12, 2026 .
• Saturdays at our existing Huntington Beach location (only 7 minutes from the new location).

Key Responsibilities:

Pharmacy & Patient Care:

• Review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescriptions in accordance with California and federal pharmacy laws.
• Verify prescriptions prepared by pharmacy technicians and supervise pharmacy workflow.
• Counsel patients regarding medications, proper use, potential side effects, interactions, and adherence.
• Provide recommendations regarding OTC medications and other pharmacy products.
• Communicate with physicians, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve prescription and coverage issues.
• Monitor drug therapies and identify potential therapeutic problems or incompatibilities.
• Maintain appropriate records, including controlled-substance documentation and other regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with California Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, HIPAA, and other applicable requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe pharmacy environment.

Pharmacy Growth, Marketing & Community Outreach:

Because this is a new pharmacy location , this pharmacist will also play an important role in helping establish and grow the business.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist management and sales rep in developing and growing the pharmacy's patient/client base.
• Help introduce the pharmacy and its services to the surrounding community.
• Build professional relationships with local physicians, medical offices, healthcare providers, senior communities, businesses, and community organizations.
• Participate in community outreach, health events, promotional activities, and pharmacy marketing initiatives.
• Educate prospective patients and healthcare providers about the pharmacy's services and programs.
• Help identify opportunities to improve patient retention, referrals, pharmacy services, and revenue.
• Provide ideas and feedback regarding marketing strategies and services that may benefit the local community.
• Deliver excellent customer service and help create long-term relationships with patients.
• Work collaboratively with management with a business-minded, growth-oriented approach while always maintaining professional and ethical pharmacy standards.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist License .
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English .
• Strong communication and patient-counseling skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and supervise pharmacy support staff.
• Professional, dependable, personable, and comfortable interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.

Preferred:

• Previous community/retail pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with pharmacy insurance billing and third-party payers.
• Experience or interest in marketing, community outreach, business development, or building a pharmacy practice .
• Comfortable networking and developing relationships within the local Vietnamese and healthcare communities.
