Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.This shift will run from 3PM - 11PM.What You Will Experience In This Position:Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance.Look after day-to-day production activities to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily.Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology.Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent's safety programs.Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.Support new process and product development and implementation.Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed.You Have:High school diploma or G.E.DBA Degree is a plusIdeally 3 plus years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience preferredIdeally 2+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, with a strong ability to articulate and apply Lean concepts and methodologies.We Have:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every daynVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
