The Outlet Youth & Family Support Counseling Center is currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT) to join our remote team in Saint Petersburg, Florida. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, focusing on fostering resilience and healing through therapy.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history and current psychological status.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that promote recovery, resilience, and emotional well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that help individuals process their trauma, learn coping strategies, and advance in their recovery journey.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients' safety and effective management of acute stress reactions.
\n
• Offer education for patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and how they can access additional resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards while ensuring compliance with health regulations.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education initiatives focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients who have experienced trauma, ranging from adolescents to adults, and families seeking assistance in navigating their trauma recovery journeys. You will be helping clients reclaim their narratives and empower them to lead fulfilling lives beyond their past experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor toward clients.
\n
• Adeptness at maintaining composure in high-stress situations while providing empathetic support to clients.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications for effective management of patient information.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma-informed practices is preferred.

• Hands-on experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, leading to improved client outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
