- # Data EngineerApply: Louisville, KY: Full time: Posted Today: R-430106# **Become a part of our caring community**Humana is looking for a Data Engineer 2 to join our Fortune #40, Best Places to Work company and help us make a different as a help our members achieve their best health!The Data Engineer:* Ingests data from internal and external sources utilizing cloud native platforms and software development best practices and patterns.* Develops software tools that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data into insights and actions that enables Humana to better serve our members.* Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.* Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.* Follows established guidelines/procedures.* Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences# **Use your skills to make an impact****Required Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree or 5 years of technical experience* 5 years of experience with Databricks, Spark, and Scala* Knowledge of SQL and relational database models* Document processes related to database design, configuration, and performance.* Experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure* Experience with APIs to expose large datasets to applications and data analytics solutionsExperience with Azure Cloud: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Pipelines, Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA), and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)* Experience with development, release and support of data processing pipelines* Experience with test automation frameworks and tools* Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience with Terraform **Additional Information****Location/Work Style:** Remote US **Work at Home Guidance**To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:* At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested* Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership* Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.* Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.* Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.**Scheduled Weekly Hours**40**Pay Range**The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$97,900 - $133,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
