The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation from broader financial services industry, including expertise in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and an understanding of loan accounting.

• Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 Base Salary + Bonus

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analyses.
• Support regulatory and public reporting requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and financial institution regulations.
• Maintain fixed asset, prepaid expense, and investment accounting schedules.
• Assist with loan accounting activities, including analysis, reporting, and related reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate, audit-ready documentation.
• Research and apply accounting guidance for complex or non-routine transactions.
• Partner with leadership to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Identify opportunities for automation, operational efficiencies, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Broader financial services industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong general ledger accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting audit processes.
• Understanding of loan accounting concepts and related reporting requirements.
• Experience with regulatory and/or public reporting preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, Lookups, and complex formulas.
• Experience working within a highly regulated, audit-ready environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
