Kindergarten Teaching Assistant

Position: Kindergarten Teaching Assistant Location: Brookside Elementary School Schedule: 2026-2027 School Year Salary: Per Contract To Start: August 2026 Qualifications: • Teacher Certification Prek-3 or similar certification preferred • Experience working with kindergarten students • Experience working with English Language Learners and Special Education Students • Whole classroom setting experience preferred • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred • Proof of proficiency in the Target language, as aligned to DESE Guidance for the Provision of Interpreters in the Education Setting (p.8), required within the first year of employment. Responsibilities: • Strong organizational skills required; • Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather; • Capacity to adjust and respond to new conditions and circumstances; • Work collaboratively with others in the classroom; • Participate in training opportunities as directed by the classroom teacher; • Perform all duties and responsibilities related to a Kindergarten Classroom. • Assist kindergarten students with daily living/self-help skills. • Other duties as assigned by administration.
