The successful candidate will implement and execute commercial strategies aligned with business objectives, ensure compliance with commercial and contracting policies, and support the commercialization of service offerings to maximize value creation. Expected:Proven years of experience in a commercial, contracts, project controls, or other technically relevant roleStrong understanding of commercial management, contract administration, and risk management principlesAwareness and application of corporate, commercial, and project procedures and governance requirements Knowledge of tendering, contract review, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiationsExperience supporting complex projects within engineering, construction, energy, or related industriesAbility to interpret contractual terms and identify commercial risks and opportunities Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skillsPreferred:Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Business Studies, or a related discipline; professional qualification ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate strong safety leadership and promote a positive safety cultureAct with the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all commercial activitiesEnsure compliance with delegated authority requirements and Wood's commercial and contracting policiesLead pre-award commercial activities, including tender reviews, proposal evaluations, pricing submissions, and commercial qualificationsEnsure compliance with commercial governance, processes, and procedures across the business unit or regionOversee commercial administration activities, ensuring the timely delivery of contractual and commercial obligations, including bonds, parent company guarantees, and insurance requirementsDevelop, implement, and maintain project commercial strategies, handover plans, subcontracting strategies, and profit improvement initiativesCoordinate contract reviews and develop commercial qualifications and contract amendments in collaboration with the Contracts team to achieve an appropriate balance of risk and rewardCoordinate estimate reviews to establish pricing models, cost recovery mechanisms, and compliance with client-specific pricing requirementsAbout the company Wood is a global leader in consulting, engineering and operations for the energy and materials sectors.
